Question about getting gwens shred - Guild Wars Forums

ok first off lemme say that ive had about 5 characters now and all but 2 ive giving her like 5 flowers and shes given me the shred. but with my char now and one before ive had tog ive her tons of flowers to get it. with this char i know ive giving her over 30 flowers so far and still no shred. one time i saved up 10 and gave them to her all in a row lol. i know you dont need it but i just like to have it. so could this be a bug maybe or something? anyone else had this happen to them. any suggestions thanx.

someone in the game suggested tog ive her a cape and a new flute so i bought both but she wont take either.

I have missed it with my first couple of characters also. The only info that I can give is I think there comes a time in pre that she won't give it to you anymore. After a certain quest or something. When I get it I usually save all flowers, cape, and flute until I have it all saved up.Then I give her everything at once with the flute first then cape then flowers. I save it up and give it to her before I do any quests. But yes I have had a couple of times that I waited to long and she wouldn't give it to me anymore.

I do it like this:

Get her quest to find the Broken Flute, and get the Flute, but don't talk to her again until you have: Broken Flute, Flute (4g from Merchant), Small Girls Cape (200g from Merchant) and 5 Red Iris Flowers. Then I hand it all over and she usually gives me the Shred.

Don't bother spending 200g on the cape, I got the shred without the cape.
